On behalf of the Executive Board of The Effective Network for The Advancement of Bilingual Education  we welcome you to our website.  We are excited about working with you and your school. As we are committed to providing you with the highest quality bilingual education resources available, our focus is to offer an effective way for advocates of bilingual education to network for the benefit of all students, but in particular second language learners.

Every member of the ENABLE Board is committed to stewardship and excellence.  Our position as a service-oriented organization is to advocate for equity and equality in education.

On a personal level, I feel privileged to have been chosen to co-lead ENABLE at such a pivotal time.  Within the past two years, we have developed our own website, more than quadrupled our membership, collaborated with a plethora of educational institutions and organizations at the local, state, and national level and continue to actively monitor the state and nation for laws or policies which jeopardize what is guaranteed by the bill of rights to each of us - a fair and quality education.

We have grown and evolved as an organization because of the efforts of educators and stakeholders who from the onset have worked tirelessly as advocates and defenders of those who otherwise would not have a voice. We will continue to build on past achievements and forge ahead to even greater heights! Realizing that you have a choice to join professional organizations, we are determined to make that choice, the best choice – The Effective Network for the Advancement of bilingual education.

We encourage you to attend our meetings and become a voice for so many who without your involvement may not have a vote or voice. We feel the price of membership will more than pay for itself by way of opportunities for members to become involved in networking, professional development, and bilingual education information and advocacy. Best of luck in the upcoming school year! We look forward to working with you every step of the way.

Respectfully,

Joe M. Dugan Vice-President
